It was in June 24-25, 2009 when the PHIC Team conducted an orientation of the Benchbook which was participated by all different levels of hospital in Western Visayas. The seven areas of the Benchbook were discussed by PHIC Team.

Two days after the orientation was finished. A task for the hospital assessment using the Benchbook as a tool started. Deadline was set for strict compliance. Each one is very busy performing their tasks with unexplained emotions. days before the deadline of the self assesment result, a notice from PHIC thru phone call was received and that was the venue for the mock survey which was an unexpectedly our very own St. Paul's Hospital Iloilo.

In September 16, 2009 all were on their post with anticipation that they will be interviewed as part of the accreditation process. Mission, Vision and other priority programs were asked to the employees in every corner of the hospital.

This was indeed a tiring yet fulfilling experience knowing our strengths and weaknesses as a result of accepting the challenge to be in the frontline when it comes to Benchbook implementation.
